Court Approval of $950,000 Settlement and Injunctive Relief for Construction Workers for Unpaid Wages

The U.S. District Court in San Francisco approved final settlement of $950,000 and injunctive relief in a class action brought by Stewart & Musell, LLP and Rosen, Bien Galvan and Grunfeld, LLP on behalf of laborers, many who are Spanish-speaking employees of Ghilotti Brothers Inc. in San Rafael for failure to pay for all hours worked, including loading and unloading from construction sites, transport duties and failure to provide meal and rest breaks.

The settlement provides relief for 245 current and former employees and requires that employees, not supervisors, be allowed to record their times worked for pay.
